The V-43, a Großes Torpedoboot, was built by Vulkan in Stettin in 1914. She was launched 27 January 1915 and commissioned on 28 May 1915. The V-43 was 261' in length and 27' in breadth, drawing 13' of water. She was fast and potentially lethal, able to travel 34 knots carrying two 4.1" guns, one 3.4" gun, and six torpedo tubes.
The V-43 suffered the same fate as the S-132, beached at Scapa in June 1919. Brought over to the United States, she was eventually sunk as target ship by the battleship Florida on 15 July 1921.
