  PHOTOGRAPHS

The Association of Underwater Explorers (AUE) has compiled an extensive library of underwater images and video including shipwrecks, marine wildlife, caves, and cave diving activities. Only a fraction of available images appear within this website. Furthermore, the file sizes and resolution have been greatly reduced for internet use.

Photograph Permission to Publish Policy
A "Permission to Publish" form must be completed listing items used and for what purpose, the requester's signature indicating agreement with the use conditions and fees assessed, and the authorization of the photographer. Credit must be given to the photographer and AUE; the specific credit line will be given on the cataloging record or the permission form. Permission to publish is for one-time use only. AUE retains all intellectual property rights to the items, and they are to be used only for the purpose listed on the permission form. The term "to publish" includes, but is not limited to, print, film, video, slide presentation, television, computer or other electronic transmission, and exhibit formats. In some cases a courtesy copy of the publication will be requested for our archives.

If you have a project and are in need of underwater and diving-related images, feel free to CONTACT US with your needs. We will promptly inform you of potential material that is available, as well as a rate schedule.

ALL MATERIAL FOUND WITHIN THE AUE WEBSITE IS COPYRIGHTED (1998 - 2008) AND USE OF ANY MATERIAL AND/OR IMAGES FOUND WITHIN IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED UNLESS SPECIFIED OTHERWISE.

Should AUE be made aware of any images or material being used without permission, you will be informed of such illegal use and an invoice for the appropriate use fee along with an assessed penalty fee will be submitted. Should payment not be received in a timely fashion, we will then legally pursue any and all copyright violations.
