Originally built as the London in Scotland in 1951, the Busch was a 210 foot long freighter.  Before becoming known as one of the most popular lower Keys artificial reefs, the vessel appeared in the 1957 film "Fire Down Below," which starred Jack Lemmon, Robert Mitchum and Rita Hayworth.  The former island freighter was purchased by the local dive community with the generous assistance of Adolphus Busch IV, and sunk perfectly upright and intact in just 108 feet of water on December 5, 1998.
